Barcelona’s poet and architect Joan Margarit has built his professional and literary life with iron, concrete and words. Generalitat’s National Prize in Literature and Ministry of Culture’s National Prize in Poetry in 2008, the same principles have guided him when writing poem collections as Estació de França or Barcelona amor final, as well as when calculating and building, together with his associate Carles Buxadé, Montjuïc’s Olympic Stadium or Sagrada Família. Born in La Segarra, Joan Margarit has always kept Barcelona as the main landscape of his life. In his verses he captured the spirit of this city of which he knows so well the structure.
This year, the poster is a design by Claret Serrahima -author of graphic images so diverse as Barça’s crest or Arts Santa Mònica- who has asked thirty citizens to create with him Mercè’s poster by designing a letter
