More than 150 years sweetening the people of Barcelona and all those who visit the Gothic Quarter.
This emblematic pastry shop is one of the oldest in the city, with more than 150 years sweetening the people of Barcelona and all those who visit the historic center. In its beginnings it was named "Ca L'Abella" but during Franco's time, it changed its name to La Colmena.
It is a treasure not only for its sweets, but also for the place itself, which was remodeled in 1950 by César Martinell (Gaudi's collaborator) and its characteristic façade, bathed in gold leaf.
Today it continues to tempt us with its sweet delights, displayed in its glass windows. Give in to temptation and taste some of the carquinyolis, caramels, balls, meringues and more that it offers.
