Barna Centre is one of the entities that are part of the "Union of Eixos Turístics Comercial de Barcelona" that, under the "Barcelona Open", created with the aim of bringing together the areas of the city who want to take the opportunity that generates shopping tourism as a generator of wealth in Barcelona. All this without neglecting the importance of local commerce both rooted in the city, all those factors enhancing approach that allow international demand. Its vocation is inclusive whereas Barcelona has to know developing and managing the benefits of tourism to all districts of the city.
The organization also wants to establish itself as a voice recognized by the City Council in making decisions relating to the commercial activities of the city. Likewise, also contribute to the development of tourism as an opportunity to promote a sustainable model of host city, and work because Barcelona is designated "Destination of Tourist Interest".
Besides Barna Centre, its members include those with the following commercial city: Friends of the Rambla, Pelai Centre & Commuter Association; Association of Rambla de Catalunya; Diagonal Center Association; Association Raval shaft; Paral • lel Fem Association; Merchants and Businessmen Association Eixample; Association of Friends of Paseo de Gràcia; Born Merchants Association and the Bank and the Group of businessmen and industrialists of Barceloneta.
