Its beginnings go back to 1865, more than 150 years ago, when Tomás Antonés Torroja opened a workshop in the old town, in full rage for hats known as Panama. Later, in 1914, his son started in retail opening a store in the Fontana street.
It lived its time of greatest splendor, from 1917, with the end of the Great War, a time of great expansion of international trade, in which Paris became the city of headdresses and Barcelona its little sister. It managed to become the store chosen by personalities from the world of cinema such as Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
It is a very special family business, since they make their own clothing, personalize and repair all kinds of hats, caps and headdresses. Currently run by Nuria Arnau, who has managed to maintain her success for four generations and where the fifth, Jordi and Sergi Creus Arnau, is already prepared to take over.
