The store was born with the intention of paying tribute to a guild historically rooted in the street and highly respected in the city, the booksellers and printers. This establishment, located on Baixada de Llibreteria street, has managed to stand the test of time and contribute to enriching the commercial life in the Gothic Quarter.

The sign of the Antigua Casa Rubió, on its façade on Dagueria street, narrows the link between Papirum and the old profession of bookseller. It was Josep Rubió i Lluch, an intellectual belonging to the guild, who started the family business.

Today, Maria Dolors Crespo and her son Flavio have taken over and are driving this business focused on paper. One of the keys why they are succesful today is that they have been able to introduce innovations without betraying the classic.
