This hundred-year-old store, founded by Ramón Roca and his brother, began its journey more than 100 years ago, in 1911, selling high-quality scalpels and razors and, over the years, has become an icon of Plaza del Pi. Its Viennese-style window is an indissoluble part of the square's landscape and preserves vestiges of turn-of-the-century techniques: the yoke where metal was worked and also the Solingen Paris Barcelona sign.
In the 1930s, they were innovative by introducing Swedish stainless steel cutlery to their catalogue, 20 years before they began to be manufactured in Catalonia.
It is a business with a great artisan tradition where the workshop and the store coexist. It was in the Roca family's hands until the year 2000 when a group of specialists trained in the store itself took over.
A unique business that has preserved its identity and its careful image, and has remained faithful to the profession.
