This family business was born more than 50 years ago in a small place on Comtal street and by the hand of Josep M. Villegas. In its beginnings it was dedicated to exhibit pieces from ceramic workshops in the area.
Over the years, the business grew and they began to look for artistic pieces to exhibit, coming from different corners of the country. This growth made possible to acquire the adjoining space and expand the store.
All these changes have been made respecting the original architecture of the building, which has very remarkable historical details and which they have wanted to preserve. Especially its stairs, dating back to 1800 and its natural stone wall.
At Ceràmica Villegas they continue to work to bring the creations of small ceramic artisan workshops closer to the client, participating in national and international fairs.
