Cereria Gallissà

Cerería Gallissà was founded at 5 Riera del Pi Street (currently Cardenal Casañas Street) by D. Mariano Gallissá y Amat in 1826, although the date of creation of the company, in a different location, is probably earlier in is.

Since then, the business has been passed from father to son until today.

Cerería Gallissà participated and was awarded in different exhibitions, the most outstanding being the one that took place in the Parque de la Ciutadella in Barcelona in 1888, where it was awarded the Silver medal for “Blanqueo de Ceras”.

Currently at Cerería Gallissá we have focused on craftsmanship, decorating candles and tapers by hand with paint, wax, etc., especially for baptisms and weddings, which we also personalise.

In contrast to this artisanal activity, but faithful to the spirit of adaptation to the times that has allowed this small company to survive for almost two centuries, we decided in 2010 to take a new step forward and take advantage of new technologies to create this virtual store. with the aim of facilitating and making inquiries and purchases of our products more comfortable for all those who also visit us from the network.
