The feast of Corpus Christi will refill Barcelona of flowers, music and open days, especially in Ciutat Vella, from May 30 to June 2. The star of the party is the traditional 'Ou com balla', a game of water, whose origins are unclear but practiced at least since 1637, ie keeping moving an egg on the jet of a fountain. Up to 15 cloisters of the city offer this free show for three days, which is accompanied by stunning floral decorations.
Among the most visited cloisters and courtyards Corpus every year, are the Cathedral, the Museu Frederic Mares, the Royal Academy of Bones Lletres, the Barcelona Athenaeum and the church of Santa Anna.
