Gothic Inspired

Gòtic Inspirat

The game

Macarena, a remote student of the Art History Degree at the University of Barcelona, aims to write a unique bachelor thesis. She wants to show her teachers (and the rest of the students) that despite coming from hundreds of kilometers away, she knows better than anyone else the essence of the Gothic Quarter, the oldest area of Barcelona. With her artistic eyes, she has decided to x-ray the narrow streets, surrounded by heritage, to highlight those corners where relevant artists of the last hundred and fifty years found inspiration - and where some have even ended up leaving an imprint. However, time is against her, on the internet she only finds the same information repeated over and over again... and she needs someone to help her locate on the ground. We thought of you because you already know how to navigate the oldest alleys of Barcelona, among tourists, neighbors and emblematic shops. Don’t you?

Go through at least 6 of the 9 challenges of the clue game, pay close attention to the questions asked and look for the answers in the streets themselves (if you try to use technology, you can easily find false information!) and help Macarena prove that the Gothic is the most inspiring place in Barcelona!

We recommend that, while you are looking for the tracks, you soak up the life of the Gothic Quarter and, specially, the activities of its shops. They are the defensive bulwarks of the unique life that only a historical neighborhood can offer, and during the activity, you will see dozens of interesting ones!
